What the inspector reads

The inspector reads common document-information fields: title, author, subject, keywords, creator, producer, creation date, and modification date. It also reports file size, PDF header version, page count, and encryption status.

Read each status

Present means a readable value was found, not present means the supported field was absent, and unreadable means the field existed in a form the browser library could not decode. An unreadable result should prompt extra review rather than reassurance.

Interpret results cautiously

A clean table covers only the named fields. Identifying information may still appear visibly on pages or inside annotations, attachments, forms, scripts, signatures, or PDF structures outside this release’s supported inspection boundary.
